FYI, I do not have a finalized summer band schedule yet. Between the end of school and now UIL has released guidance for summer band practices twice, and I expect it to chance again before we reach our usual summer band. The name of the game this year will be 'flexibility' as we navigate uncharted waters and do our best to both find success, and keep the band healthy!
However, while I don't have a schedule of times yet, I do have dates that I can share to help you start planning.
July 27 & 28 - Leadership Team Reports
July 30 & 31 - All percussion and color guard (returning members or those interested in trying out) report
Aug 1 - Uniform checkouts/Band registration
Aug 3 - 7 - Summer Band Week 1
Aug 10 - 14 - Summer Band Week 2
Aug 15 - March a thon
Aug 17 & 18 - Summer Band Week 3
Aug 19 - First day of school
Again, I wish I had a more detailed schedule to give you, but at this time that just isn't possible as UIL guidelines are shifting weekly. Please do your best to reserve those above dates for band as nothing is more important to our success than you being present and working as a team!
I do plan on sending out a summer mailout here in a couple of weeks, hopefully with more detailed information! Anything in the mailout will also be posted on our website (www.pampaband.org) and here on Facebook. So be on the look out for that in early July and remember, this year we may need a great deal of flexibility!

Physicals
It's kind of tricky this year because of COVID changes, but here's as simple as I can make it.
* EVERYONE will need to fill out a medical history form. These will be mailed out with the summer mailout and available on our registration day. (See the above schedule.) It's also available on our website directly at this link: https://www.pampaband.org/hs-band-handbook--required-forms.html
* If you've never had a physical done before, you MUST have a physical completed and passed before you can participate in marching.
* If you answer yes to any of the first 6 questions on the medical history form, you'll need to have a physical completed again regardless of whether or not you completed one last year.
* If you completed a physical last year and your answers to the first 6 questions on the Medical History Form are NO, you're good to go and the Medical History Form is all you will need.

Trip Refunds
We do not have complete information yet at this time - we're still waiting on numbers from the Hotel and NY bus company - but information is slowly trickling in. I'll share amounts with you once they are finalized. Here are some of the pertinent details:
* Graduated Seniors will have a check written for the amount of the refund.
* Returning students *may* receive a refund check, however you have the option of keeping the amount credited to your name. This could then in turn go towards a future trip or any other expenses. Potentially, you could have most or all of next years trip paid for, depending on the cost. (No, I don't know what next year's trip is yet - still trying to sort out this year's!)
* If your student had a remaining balance owed - that is, they had not fully paid off their trip, and there are a handful of you - that amount will be calculated into the refund.
* If your graduated senior or other child has a sibling in band, we can credit their refund to their siblings account if you wish.
* Once we have a final number, I'll probably setup a Google Form and share it via Remind, the website, and Facebook for requests to have checks sent out or have the amount credited towards your child's account.

As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Email is the best option. Please be patient if I don't immediately respond as I'm not currently keeping regular summer hours, but I typically do check email at least once a day and do have office time a couple times a week.
