The High School Band Hall will be open the following times this week for students to pick up their instruments and music.
Thursday 3/26
- 10:00 to 12:00 - Symphonic Band Woodwinds
- 3:00 to 5:00 - Honor Band Woodwinds
Friday 3/27
- 10:00 to 12:00 - Symphonic Band Brass/Percussion
- 3:00 to 5:00 - Honor Band Brass/Percussion
Please, if possible, come during the designated time for your band/instrument group. We've split the times up to avoid having large numbers of students in the building at the same time. Students are to come, grab their instruments, music, and any accessories they may need (reeds, oil their valves, etc), and then depart campus.
If none of the above times work, please contact Mr. Benton about a possible alternate time for you to get your equipment.
Honors (Varsity) Band
The Classroom Code for the Honor Band Google Classroom is: aqzim6y Most of you are already signed up. When you come and grab your instrument and band music, also make sure you have next year's All-Region Music, your blue warm up book, and our spring scale sheet. All-Region and the scale sheet will be on a table near the entrance to the Band Hall.
HS Symphonic (Non Varsity) Band
The Classroom Code for the Symphonic Band Google Classroom is: 7a2urw4 This is a new Google Classroom, so you will need to be sure you sign up. When you come and grab your instrument and band music, also make sure you have your blue warm up book and our spring scale sheet; the latter will be on a table near the entrance to the Band Hall.
Assignments
Assignments will be posted weekly starting next week. Most of the high school assignments will consist of practicing and recording a selection, be it a scale, or a few measures out of a piece or etude. You must be visible in the recording in order to receive credit.
Reeds, Valve Oil, Repair
If you find yourself needing any of the above, Mr. Benton will be in the Band Hall Mondays from 1:00 to 3:00. Again, come, get what you need, and head home. If you need anything during the week, please contact Mr. Benton and we can set up an individual time that does work for you.
-
Please note that generally, other than the above times, the HS Band Hall will be CLOSED. Stay home, stay well, stay safe.
